studied at the University of Basel and trained at Jaques Lecoq’s International School of Theatre in Paris. Since co-founding Hoipolloi in 1994, she has designed and performed in most of the company’s productions, touring throughout the UK and Europe, as well as the USA and the Philippines. including Hoipolloi’s most recent large-scale show The Doubtful Guest – co-produced with Theatre Royal, Plymouth. She has also designed and co-directed all of Hoipolloi’s recent award-winning collaborations with Hugh Hughes.

Her most recent work outside Hoipolloi includes her own production Prelude to a Coat, Hansel And Gretel with NIE (New International Encounters), 3rd Ring Out for Metis Arts; Superheroes with Elena Penga in Athens and Drive In Deco for Part Exchange Company in Plymouth.

Stephanie is the creator of George Pfenderleith a kinetic head made of found objects featured in the Imagineering room.
