Inspired by Place

We are launching our St Mary Redcliffe Place Based Theatre Club with an ‘Inspire day and Tea Party’ on Saturday 21st January 2-4pm.

Tours of usually hidden and unseen spaces and their stories will run at 2pm from the north porch, followed from 2.30 -4pm, by tea and cake, sharing of stories and history and creative activities by PECo artists at the Faith Space in Prewett Street, Redcliffe BS16PD

Everyone is welcome to come along, find out something new, share their own memories, memorabila and experiences – who knows it may end up in a theatre piece!

We will then be running the Place Based Theatre Club alternate Thursdays 1.30 -3pm, beginning 26th January, at the Faith Space in Prewett Street.

The project aims to unearth previously unheard memories, history and stories of St Mary Redcliffe and her environs and work with these in ongoing creative sessions to explore making a new piece of site-inspired theatre.

Funded by Bristol Ageing Better and in association with Redcliffe Care, we are particularly keen to attract a core group from the 50 plus generation, so please contact us if this is you.

However whatever your age, if you live or have an association with the area, have an association with the building, or are just interested and would like to work with a theatre company and be part of this inspiring multi-generational creative process, you are very welcome!

Creative sessions dates are January 26th, Feb 9th,23rd, March 9th,23rd and April 1st all at 1.30-3pm and will culminate in a sharing of developing ideas for a new piece of site-specific theatre inspired by St Mary Redcliffe and the surrounding area.

If you want to reserve your place on a tour, are interested in registering a place on the club or would just like to find out more, please contact rachel@partexchangeco.org.uk
